The “grapevine” can be an effective means of finding out what’s available in a particular area, especially if you can make contact with those “in the know.” This may include officers of the local specialty society, hospital medical directors, and prominent local physicians within the specialty. Non-physicians such as hospital and ASC administrators can also be helpful resources.
